Beyaz Office
Beyaz is a mixed-use building in Istanbul completed in 2024, combining offices with the working functions of the company it was built for.
The building is organised as two clearly distinguished parts. A dark, largely solid base carries the loading, storage and service functions at ground level; above it the office floors are set back and wrapped in a white perforated metal screen, folded into a continuous vertical rhythm that shields the glazing behind it from direct sun.
The contrast between the two — weight below, lightness above — is what the building relies on from the street, and the screen is lit from within after dark so that the upper volume reads as a single luminous surface.
