Sirkeci Masterplan
The Sirkeci masterplan and creative hub was developed in 2013 for an invited competition held by the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, on a site at Sirkeci — the point where the historic peninsula meets the Bosphorus, and one of the most heavily layered pieces of ground in the city.
The proposal pairs a masterplan with a creative hub, using the programme of a working cultural and commercial quarter to reactivate an area that had become primarily a place of transit.
The scheme was developed with an international team.
